Cars
How to use MECACYL CR-P in your car?
Prerequisites:
Declined from Mécacyl CR, the Mécacyl CR-P is the effective answer to any hydraulic lifter problem. From the first use, it reduces noise and clicking of the pushers.
Le Mécacyl CR-P is the complementary hyper-lubricant for all gasoline, diesel, hybrid and gas vehicles. It is intended more specifically for vehicles presenting noises or clicking noises from hydraulic tappets. It is used on mileage engines if the Mécacyl CR was not an effective response to a tappet problem.
If your vehicle is in perfect condition, has always been maintained regularly, has no abnormal consumption or leaks of oil or coolant, you can absolutely use Mécacyl CR-P with excellent results.
Use :
Mécacyl CR-P is used with clean oil after an oil change. If you cannot put it after an oil change, you can wait up to 3.000 km after the oil change.
The dosage: From 2% to 3% of the quantity of oil, that is to say a 100 ml bottle for 4 or 5 liters of oil.
The engine must be warm to operating temperature.
Pour Mécacyl CR-P directly into the engine oil reservoir.
Drive the vehicle or leave the engine running for 10 minutes.
Depending on the number of kilometers or the degree of wear of the vehicle, it is possible to have to do one or two oil changes close together (consult the Frequency of use section).
Important: For the first 10 to 15 km after adding Mécacyl CR-P , white smoke will come out of the exhaust. This is perfectly normal. Mécacyl CR-P eliminates water and oxidation. For an engine to last a long time, it must be dry, among other things.
Frequency of use :
Follow the manufacturers' recommendations.
Maximum 15 km to maintain optimum results.
If the manufacturer's oil change is done at 20,000 km, it is possible to add Mécacyl CR.
On used vehicles:
– Vehicle with 50,000 to 100,000 km: Change the oil after introducing Mecacyl CR-P at 5,000 km, then resume oil changes at the usual interval, adding Mecacyl CR-P each time.
– A vehicle between 100.000 and 150.000 km: Change the oil every 3.000 km, then every 5.000 km and then resume the usual oil change schedule, adding Mécacyl CR-P each time.
– For a vehicle with between 150.000 and 180.000 km: Change the oil every 3.000 km, then every 5.000 km, and, if necessary, every 8.000 km. After that, resume the usual oil change schedule, adding Mécacyl CR-P each time.
– A vehicle with more than 180.000 kms: Contact us.
You can certainly opt for more frequent oil changes when necessary, using 15W40 oil (for vehicles manufactured before 2000) or 10W40 oil (for vehicles manufactured after 2000). Afterwards, resume your usual oil change schedule using Mécacyl CR and your chosen oil.
In vehicles that use liquefied gas:
– Same as for gasoline or diesel vehicles.
Every 10.000 km or 15.000 km maximum or every 12 months.
It is recommended to do an oil change every 5.000 km after the first introduction of Mécacyl CR-P and then resume the usual emptying rhythm by adding Mécacyl CR-P every time.
A special case of diesel vehicles:
– Vehicles equipped with a FAP filter:
Mécacyl CR-P can be used in vehicles equipped with FAP filter. Take care to also protect the filter. You must follow these precautions.
– A vehicle with radiators or EGR valve coolers:
Mécacyl CR-P can be used in vehicles equipped with EGR valve. Take care to also protect the EGR.
A specific case:
Some diesel vehicle models manufactured before 2005 are equipped with specific EGR valves (approximately 6% of diesel vehicles on the road). These EGR valves are coupled with a cooler or radiator (coolant-cooled EGR valve). If your vehicle is equipped with this type of EGR valve, you cannot use Mécacyl CR-P.
Other EGR valves have no contraindication.
Oil type:
For faster application, in 90% of cases 10W40 or 15W40 type oils can be used.
In general, all oils based on petroleum polymers are compatible with Mécacyl, multi-degree and synthetic or semi-synthetic (5W40, 5W30).
Contraindications:
– Abnormal oil consumption.
– Abnormal consumption of coolant.
– Very worn motors, at the end of their life, with signs of breakage.
– Oils with silicones, paraffin and graphite.
– Oils based on polymers not derived from petroleum.
– A diesel car equipped with an EGR valve is cooled by coolant.
– Previous use of additives.
An advice :
If you buy a used vehicle in good overall condition, start by using Mécacyl CR. If you don't get results, switch to Mécacyl CR-P at your next oil change.
Advantage:
– The silence of the attacked.
– Motor protection.
– Reduction of pollution
– Fuel savings (from 8% to 15%)

Use :
Le Mécacyl CR-P Use with clean oil after an oil change. If you were unable to put it in after the oil change, you can add it a maximum of 3 km after an oil change.
Dosage: 3% to 3,5% of the quantity of oil.
- The engine must be warm, i.e. at operating temperature.
- Pour directly the Mécacyl CR-P in the engine oil tank.
- Roll or spin for at least 10 minutes.
Depending on the number of kilometers or the level of wear of the vehicle, 1 to 2 frequent oil changes may be recommended (see below).
Note : White smoke may be emitted from the exhaust during the first 10 to 15 km after adding Mécacyl CR-P . This is perfectly normal: Mécacyl CR-P eliminates water and oxides, as a long-lasting engine is, among other things, an anhydrous engine.
On new trucks:
– Add 3% without draining at 5 km according to the procedure defined above.
– Put back 3% to 3,5% of Mécacyl CR-P at warranty drain
