Prerequisites:

Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S is a complementary hyper-lubricant for all 4-stroke boat engines whether inboard, outboard, petrol or diesel. If your boat is in perfect conditions, has always had regular maintenance, never shows any abnormal consumption or leakage of oil or coolant, you may absolutely use Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S with excellent results.

Frequency of use:

With every oil change.

Use:

Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S is to be used with clean oil after an oil change. If it couldn’t be added after the oil change, it can be added a maximum of 10 hours after an oil change.

In new boats:
- Add 3% without an oil change after 10 hours as per the procedure defined above.

- Add 3-3.5% Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S upon the warranty-required oil change
- Add 3-3.5% Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S upon each oil change.

Pleasure engine with +600 hours:

The first time you use Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S, do a first oil change approximately 50 hours later. Then, do your oil changes at the normal intervals recommended by the manufacturer (maximum 250 hours) using 3% Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S each time.

Winterising:

Winterise your boat with Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S (close the air inlets, bleed the fuel supply valve).
Do a Mécacyl oil change before the next season.

For oil changes that are close together, 15w40 or 10w40 oil is perfectly fine. Continue doing oil changes at normal intervals, using Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S and the oil of your choice.

Please note: white smoke will come out of the exhaust after adding
Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S. This is completely normal: Mécacyl Hyper Lubricant engine 4S eliminates water and oxides; a dry engine wears out faster. It lasts around 20 minutes max.

Type of oil:

For faster blending, 10W40 or 15W40 oils are best for 90% of all uses.
In general, all petroleum-based polymer oils are compatible with MECACYL whether they are multi-grade, semi-synthetic or synthetic (5W40, 5w30...).

Contraindications:

-          Abnormal oil consumption.
-          Abnormal coolant consumption.
-          Very worn, old engines which are about to break down.
-          Silicone, paraffin and graphite oils.
-          Non-petroleum polymer-based oils.
-          Previous additive use.

Benefits:

-          Less fuel consumption (8 to 15%).
-          Enhanced engine performance.
-          Less pollution.
-          Protects the engine.
-          Silence and suppleness.
-         Limits oxidation, protects against moisture.
