How do you use MECACYL HJD2 in your diesel engine?

Prerequisites:

Mécacyl HJD2 is a quick and effective last-minute solution for diesel injection cleaning. This is the Mécacyl product to use in cases of significant injection fouling or if an anti-pollution inspection is necessary.  Mécacyl HJD2 works in all injection systems and can be used in any type of diesel engine, directly added to the diesel oil (including HDI, CDI, TDI, etc.). Pour Mécacyl HJD2, alternating it with the diesel oil to blend it well when refuelling.

Use:

2 possibilities:

Heavy fouling/emergency situations:

1.     Empty the bottle directly into the diesel oil filter.
2.     Start up the engine.
3.     Keep it turning for 5 minutes.
4.     Drive 5 to 10 kilometres.
5.     Drive for a few days before undergoing an anti-pollution inspection.

Less extreme fouling:

1.     Gently and gradually empty the 200 ml bottle when refuelling a 60-litre tank of diesel oil. Drive until fully consumed.
2.     Refuel before undergoing an anti-pollution control.
   
   

Contraindications:

Worn injectors, fuel leakage

Specific situation:

Some diesel vehicle models produced after 2005 are equipped with specific EGR valves (around 6% of all diesel vehicles on the road). These EGR valves are coupled to 1 cooler or exchanger (EGR valve cooled by coolant). If your vehicle is equipped with this type of EGR valve, don’t use Mécacyl HJD2.

Other EGR valves can be used.
